Chamaedorea elegans, the neanthe bella palm or parlour palm, is a species of small palm tree native to the rainforests in Southern Mexico and Guatemala. The parlor palm is one of the most heavily sold houseplant palms in the world.

They do like a brightly lit room and will do best by a window that receives some early morning or late afternoon sun. They can also grow in low light so there's no need to place them in your brightest window. Direct sunlight will result in the leaves tunring brown and burning.

The soil should never dry out but be kept moist at most times. When the top 1cm of the soil  has begun to dry you can continue to water. Your Chamaedorea Elegans should be watered every 2 days in summer.

This plant is non-toxic for cats and dogs.
