Ctenanthe setosa is an evergreen perennial from Central & South America. Its striking foliage has contrasting silver leaves with dark green herringbone patterns and elegant purple undersides.
This plant does best in a bright room but no direct light. Morning or late afternoon direct light is ok.
In summer you want to keep the soil moist but not soggy. To monitor this, you can use your finger to poke into the top 5 cm of potting mix and feel the soil moisture level before watering. If it feels particularly wet, let it dry out for longer.
This plant in non-toxic to cats and dogs.
