The fiddle-leaf fig (Ficus lyrata) is a perfect indoor specimen plant. The plant features very large, heavily veined, violin-shaped leaves that grow upright on a tall plant. These plants are native to the tropics, where they thrive in very warm and wet conditions. Lyrata are really meant as larger specimen plants.
The Fiddle Leaf Fig has broad leaves it is extremely efficient at purifying air, and is highly rated for indoor and office use. Another benefit of the fiddle leaf is that it helps control humidity. Just be sure to put this plant in a bright and sunny room, as it needs a lot of it.
If ingested, this plant can be toxic for dogs and cats. This is a great air purifier.
