Strelitzia reginae, commonly known as the crane flower, bird of paradise, or isigude in Nguni, is a species of flowering plant indigenous to South Africa. An evergreen perennial, it is widely cultivated for its dramatic flowers.
Light: Bright to 4-6 hours of direct sunlight.
Water: Water regularly allowing 50% of your potting mix to dry before next application.
Humidity: Average room humidity is sufficient however if your air is very dry spritz leaves occasionally to prevent brown edges.
This plant's leaves and stems are mildly toxic to cats and dogs if eaten. This plant is a good air purifier.
